Jan Heylen Park
Jan Heylen (1931-1967) was an artist who died too early. Nevertheless, in his short career he left a lasting impression and conducted pioneering work in the field of 'ceramics' as an art discipline. At the age of 27 his sculptures were exhibited at the world fair Expo 58. Afterwards, the modernist sculptures were purchased by the city of Diest and eventually placed in the charming park.
