This corner house dating from the fifteenth and sixteenth century has striking overhanging floors. The double overhanging facade is supported by wooden corbels and beautifully crafted beams. The house was built in traditional timber framing: a wooden frame filled with slats and plastered with loam. The house sits on a base of brick and ironstone. The mayor Adriaan Vanden Hove, grandfather of Saint John Berchmans, lived here in 1591.
